COMPUTER PROGRAMMING PROGRAM
TITLE RECEIVED
Upon successful completion of all the requirements in the curriculum program and fulfilling all other requirements for graduation, students are awarded an associate degree in “Computer Programming”.
SPECIAL ACCEPTANCE TERMS
For admission to higher education, students must have taken the nationwide Higher Education Entrance Examination (YGS) or apply for the non-examination entrance examination. The Higher Education Entrance Examination (YGS) is held once a year by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Students are placed in the departments of Higher Education institutions according to the scores obtained from the Higher Education Entrance Examination (YGS) and their high school grade point averages.
QUALIFICATION CONDITIONS
There is no limit to the maximum period of study to obtain Associate Degree.
RECOGNITION OF PREVIOUS STUDIES
Students enrolled in higher education institutions have the right to demand recognition of their previous studies at different universities. New students must submit their own transcripts and course contents to the relevant department within the first week of the registration year in order to be recognized.
HISTORY
Muğla Vocational School, Computer Technologies Department Computer Program. Computer Program started to give education in our school in 1999. Our program accepts a total of 80 students, 40 of which are for normal education and 40 for second education.
PROGRAM PROFILE
The aim of the program is to train technical staff for public and private sector enterprises. The aim of this course is to provide the students with the knowledge and skills to use technology as well as basic professional knowledge during their education period.
PROGRAM OUTCOMES
Having sufficient infrastructure in computer systems; ability to use theoretical and practical knowledge in computer systems, ability to identify, identify and solve problems in computer systems; the ability to select and apply appropriate methods and techniques for this purpose. An ability to analyze a system, system component or process and design it under realistic constraints to meet the desired requirements; the ability to apply modern design methods, the ability to select and use the technical tools required in a computer program; ability to use information technologies effectively. Ability to work effectively in individual and multi-disciplinary teams, self-confidence to take responsibility. To be able to search for this purpose in order to access information, ability to use databases and other information resources, awareness of the necessity of lifelong learning; the ability to follow developments in science and technology and to constantly renew oneself. To be able to define, collect and use the data necessary for the solution of well-defined problems in the field of Computer Programming; to show that they can use theoretical knowledge, hand and / or intellectual skills in practical applications. Demonstrate the ability to learn independently and apply what they have learned. Demonstrate the ability to identify problems related to unforeseen situations and to find solutions Evaluating and auditing the performances of the employees under his / her responsibility objectively. To have knowledge and awareness of social responsibility, ethical values and social security rights in the subjects related to the field. Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written Turkish; knowledge of at least one foreign language.
EXAMS, MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION
Exams are evaluated as written, oral, homework, project or laboratory work according to the quality of the course. In evaluating exams; one midterm exam per course is 40% and / or the other studies replacing the midterm exam contribute 40%, final exam (final exam) is 60%. For the students' own development, research projects related to their field of study are carried out under the supervision of instructors.
They must submit their excuse exam documents with a petition until the end of the first working day following the end of the exams.
GRADUATION CONDITIONS
In order to obtain an associate degree in the field of computer, students must successfully complete all compulsory and elective courses (equivalent to 120 ECTS in total) and have a GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.00.
EMPLOYMENT PROFILES OF GRADUATES
Our graduates are involved in the design, installation, operation, technical service, software and web design of information technologies and infrastructure of all institutions and organizations, primarily communication and financial institutions; technicians, technical support specialist, system specialist, sales specialist, software specialist and middle level managers.
